運転免許証を申請するとき SSNはどうすればいい？
アメリカで銀行口座を作るときも、SSNがいる、いらない 議論がありましたが、
バンカメであればSSNはいらないことがわかっています。
では、運転免許証をNCで作るときにはSSNはどうすればいいか？
SSNが発行できないVISAの人がどうしたらいいかを今検索中ですが、
はっきりしたサイトが見つからず・・・
NCのDMVのサイトをみてもよくわからないのですよね・・・
ただUNCのinternational students向けのサイトをみると、
SSNはいらない、ってかいてある・・・
さすがにこれ、間違いではないと思うんですよね。

DMV行って門前払いされても困るから、textで事前に問い合わせてみようかな・・。
メリーランド州ではこんなふうに 大学の記事で書いてありました。
Letter of Ineligibility
This is a letter provided by the Social Security Administration to state that you are not currently eligible for an SSN. This is most commonly needed for the MVA, when you apply for either a State ID or a Driver’s License.
To apply, take the following to an SSA office:
- Valid Passport
- F-1 visa
- Most recent Form I-20
- Most recent I-94 record
You will also need a letter from ISSS office certifying your good F-1 status – please visit the ISSS Portal to request this letter, and please allow a few days processing time.
SSNが発行できないステータスだよ、というのを、SSNの部署（Social Security Administration）に書いてもらう、とのことです。
